Expand and Collapse a Power BI Table

Hi,

I have a below table :

Student ID	Name	Subject	Marks
1	Rahul	Science	10
1	Rahul	History	20
1	Rahul	Maths	30
1	Rahul	English	40
1	Rahul	Regional	50
1	Rahul	Geography	60

I want this to put this information in a table( not a matrix for a reason) such that I get one row per student id and the total of marks as sum. If I expand subject it should show 6 rows. Is it possible?

Hi @klehar,

Currently power bi not able to achieve your requirement in a table visual with raw table records.
For this scenario, I think you need to manually change the table structure and records to add subtotal rows. I'd like to suggest taking a look at the following links about the 'rollup' function and combine with the sumamrize function.

@klehar not possible in table visual, you have to use matrix visual.
