Exchange body.htmlbody not displayed correctly in data tab

Hello!

I´ve connected PBI to my exchange server and trying to create a report from that data.

I decided to use the Body.HtmlBody from the email, because it was much more structured and thus could be manipulated more easy then Body.TextBody

It looks fine enough in the Query editor:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"><p><strong>Process: </strong>Customer Cancellation</p>
<p><strong>Type:</strong>Billing</p>
<p><strong>Segment:</strong> Private</p>
<p><strong>Description:</strong> This is a test!.</p>
<p><strong>Customer:</strong> Test!</p>
<p><strong>Transaction-ID:</strong>Test!</p>
<p><strong>Attached file:</strong></p>
<p><strong>UserName:</strong>TestMan</p>
<p><strong>Department: </strong>HR</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

However when i´m viewing the same data in the Data Tab it looks like this:

https://imgur.com/a/ZtheW

My guess is that PBI is reading the html code or something, but how can this be avoided?

Regards

Kim

Re: Exchange body.htmlbody not displayed correctly in data tab

Hi @Megadeth,

AFAIK, power bi not support to analysis rich text and HTML elements/styles.

If you get date from web site or rich text, power bi will convert them to text with original format style tags.
