Excel File (OneDrive) can't be uploaded

I am very new to BI, but I have uploaded a few files from Excel.  But when trying to upload 2 in particular, I get an error messge that seems to indicate I am trying to upload an Access file rather than an Excel one?  Can anyone see the problem?

Thanks.  I figured it out.  The Excel file had been created using an application that used an old version of Excel.  I "converted" the file to a newer version and had no trouble uploading it.

Hi @SacSam

Please show some details:

what you do when connect to excel files?

assume you did

Get data-> excel->

or

Get data->web->

???

If your excel files are stores on the One Drive For Bussiness, please read the link how to connect it with Power BI Desktop

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/desktop-use-onedrive-business-links

If not, please let me know.

Best regards

Maggie
