I'm facing this issue for a long time now, throughout 4 different versions. currently on the latest PBI version.
I'm accessing the data via ODBC driver from CRM.
While other reports act normal in that sense, this specific report has queries that will get this error every 2 days:
"Unexpected Error: Evaluation was canceled" so I can't refresh the report.
The workaround is to access this query from query editor and hit the Retry button for every single query.
It's painfully slow, but in the end, after repeating for every query I can continue and refresh the rest of the report.
Did any of you encounter something similar? Any help will be helpful.

Any news regarding this? Were you able to solve it somehow? I started to have the same exact issue after the update of May 2020. I can't even make it work with that "workaround" of pressing retry in every single query.

You may try setting File > Options and settings > Options > GLOBAL > Data Load > Clear Cache.
Hey Sam, gave it a try for a few days, but there's no change.
The same queries get the same error once again after cleaning the cache.
