Error with DirectQuery report

We have a problem with creating DirectQuery report with SQL Server as a datasource in Power BI Desktop.
If a user tries to open such a report on Power BI Reporting server he will get an error message: "Unexpected error. We could not connect to Analysis Services. Check your connection string".

FlightRecorderCurrent.trc in PowerBI log directory contains something like that:
Either the user, 'DOMAIN\user', does not have access to the '5a6a167e-1ca4-4054-9db9-c7700ed76fb1_705470798' database, or the database does not exist.

We have found some workarounds:

1. There is no error if the user is in Administrator group on the Power BI Reporting server.
2. Previous version of Power BI Desktop from January 2019 [Version: 2.65.5313.1562 64-bit (January 2019)] also creates the report with no errors.

Why actual version of Power BI Desktop has lost the ability to create that kind of reports? Will it be fixed?

Hi @AndrewF ,

Has the creditional of your datasource been updated? Could you please have a check and clear the permission of the data source in power bi desktop and reload the report to check again.

Thanks for your answer.
I've cleared that permissions but the error is still here.
When I change settings to a specific account, it works, but we need Kerberos for specific user rights.
