Hello Everyone,
I have an error when I launch Power BI Desktop on my computer (Asus - Windows 10).
This error is linked to "connections of named channels/networks" (I am trying to translate my error message which is in French).
Microsoft suggests I download the last version of Microsoft Power BI Enterprise Gateway - which I did even If I don't understand the link between this gateway and my issue. I also uninstalled / reinstalled Power BI Desktop. But it still doesn't work.
I am using a free Power BI school account and never used any gateways before !
Hint: I have just changed my computer. This might be the issue. I have read somewhere that I should run Power BI Desktop as "an admin" but I don't know how to do that.
Do you have any ideas ?
Thanks in advance 🙂

Hi everyone,
I have just found the solution !
As expected, it had nothing to do with gateways but admin rights.
I had to permanently run Power BI program as "an administrator" :
Click right - > Properties - > advanced -> Tick "Always run as an admin"
