Error when import csv-text vs number

Hi,

I'm trying to import a csv file that contains a comlumn of IDs in the formats of '123456' and 'A1BC23'. Upon impoting, Power BI assigned the ID column as numbers and deemed the 'A1BC23' IDs as errors. Why is that and how can I fix it?

Just edit the Changed Type step and set that column to be Text. Click on Changed Type step. Right-Click on column, change type to Text, it will ask you if you want to update the current step, say yes.
