Hello,
I get the following error when clicking Refresh for a PowerBI report from a SharePoint 2013 library:
OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataSource.Error]. An error was read from the payload. See the 'Error' property for more details.
I don't know what's generating this error or where I could check the 'Error' property for more details.
Can you help me?
Thank you

Hi @MirceaFlorea ,
You may go to File->Options and Settings->Data Source Settings->Global permissions in Power BI Desktop, find the data source stored SharePoint, click "Edit permissions", then click "Edit", choose organizational account method (or Microsoft account) to sign in the appropriate credential.
or click "clear permissions" for stored SharePoint data source, then connect to the data using SharePoint folder connector again, use the URL below and use organizational account method. See more: Connecting to Files in SharePoint & OneDrive with Power BI / Power Query.

Hi @MirceaFlorea,
Thanks for the solution. I have an On-Premise SharePoint list and when I change the datasource settings, it throws me this error. I tried your method, it's still throwing the same error. Please let me know what could be the issue.
Regards,
Ashfiya

Are you refreshing report from Service or Desktop ?
Are you extracting list from Sharepoint ?

From PowerBI desktop
I'm downloading the report from a SharePoint library, but I'm not sure how the report was made.
I'm responsible for the SharePoint side and trying to see if it's anything from SharePoint that's causing this.
