Error to create relationship in composite model

Hi team,

I have an issue today about create relationship in composite model.

I have a big fact table which can not be used import mode so I change it to direct query.

However, when I try to setup relationship with the direct query fact table and imported dimension tables, the following error jump out:

Capture.PNGI

I understand the imported dimension tables columns joined in this relationship has unique values so this might be the issue to fail the many to many relationship(this is the only supported relationship type in composite model).

Is there any way to work around of this to make it work?

Kind regards,

Tom Sun

Hi @jjtom911,

As you know, many to many relationship is only supported by composite model, including DirectQuery connections or Import. As a workaround, you can create a dimemtion table to work as a bridge to establish a indirect many to many link.
