In a dataset PBIX I'm getting an error message regarding a missing column, and (aside from the column not being there!) I can't figure out what's causing it. The column is a grouping of another column that was used previously, not a permanent feature of the dataset.
There are no visuals in the report that use this grouped column. And the detailed error message doesn't give any simple indication about what's causing the issue.
Anyone have an idea what's happened here?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I tried removing the underlying column (that had been grouped) and this seemed to eliminate the error. The underlying column wasn't being used so it was an acceptable solution.
Appreciate you offering your time to help me on this.
@Anonymous Do you have a calculated column or measure that references that column?
Hi @Greg_Deckler - thanks for the suggestion, appreciate your help. There's no DAX reference to this column, either in a measure or calculated column. It's baffling.
@Anonymous Hmm...I don't suppose you can share the PBIX?
You could check the Issues forum here:

And if it is not there, then you could post it.
