Hello Guys,
Good Day!!!
I'm unable to open the Power BI Desktop on my computer, it is throwing an error "Microsoft Power BI Desktop has Stopped working. A problem caused the problem to stop working correctly. Please close the program."
Can someone please help with this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Vinay

@v-jayw-msft Thanks for your suggestion. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it from the Microsoft store but no it is not opening Power BI Desktop application on my laptop. Seems like some setting changes are required in my system but I installed it manually it is working fine.
Hi @Anonymous ,
I'd like to suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the application. If you don't want the application upgrade automaticlly, you could download the application from website and disable the automatic upgrade in Options and Setting.

@Anonymous yes it would auto-update depending on your setting but quite possibly it is auto-updated.

@Anonymous seems like it is a machine-specific issue, was it working before? did you upgraded Power BI?

Yes, it was working perfectly before. I have not upgraded Power BI Desktop. Although I have installed it using Microsoft store long back, I guess it automatically upgrades to the next version if it is installed through Microsoft Store. Correct me if I'm wrong here.
I use windows 10 OS
