Good day,
I am trying to load Hadoop data into my Power BI report using an ODBC connection (Cloudera ODBC Driver for Impala) and I keep encountering the error mentioned above. Full error message can be seen here: ODBC Error
I haven't been able to come across anything related to this error in the internet. I am not very familiar with encoding and such so I could use a little help. Thanks in advance!

I have resolved this issue, but I am not really sure how. I uninstalled the Cloudera Driver for Impala and reinstalled an older version, then I set up the ODBC connection again. When I used this connection in my report, I was able to successfully load the Hadoop data without any error.
Not sure if it was a bug or a problem on the ODBC driver, but yeah there's that.

I have no idea where to fine the Cloudera driver you mentioned
Can you let us have the detail steps so we can try the same?
Thanks

Any ideas on what steps I can take to resolve/debug this problem? Would really appreciate your help.
Hmmm, I'll see if I can take a look but I don't really have a good way to test.
You could check the Issues forum here:

And if it is not there, then you could post it.
If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
You may take a look at Connect to an Impala database in Power BI Desktop.
@v-chuncz-msft I have tried that option but it is limited in terms of inputting a custom Hadoop query. That's why I am using the ODBC connector.
Do you have any idea on what causes the error that I am encountering? Getting a bit desperate here.
