Enhance the performance of Large Power BI report

Hi All,

Currently, I am working with a Larger report (451Mb) and my current data sources are as below.

Data set

      No of file

          File type

Sales Data Sub 01

        24 File

         Data Lake

Combine in BI

Sales Data Sub 02

        24 File

         Data Lake

Combine in BI

Supporting table 01

         One drive

Sub data sets

        12 files

         Azure DB

Not combine

The report’s performance is currently good, and I need to add new measures and visuals to the same report. My doubt is when I add more measures and visuals it is going to affect the performance of the report. How can I improve the performance of the report when it comes to a large number of calculations?

If I add Sales data sub 01 and Sales data sub 02 data(two types of subsidiary’s sales data) into the Azure DB as two tables and get the data from there will it increase the performance of the report?

Hi @dilshan_17 ,

What connect mode you are using? Using Direct Query mode may have better performance than using import mode when the dataset is large.
