End of month for the max date column

Hello everyone, 

I want to create a column in my table where the result is the EOMONTH of max date colmn. 

I used below: 

PERIOD_MAP = EOMONTH(MAX('Table1'[Deal Date]),0). However, the result is showing 9/30/2019 which is wrong since we have 2020 data. I'm suspecting it's because it's looking at the latest day i.e: 30 instead of 8/11/2020 for example. 

What did I do wrong? Thanks.

From your screenshot, your Deal Date column is text so make it a date and then use Max logic.
