Encrypt data in Power BI Desktop

Hi,

I have a customer that would like to encrypt their data in Power BI. The scenario is to encrypt data on a column-and/or table level. Only certain users should have access to see the real data, the rest should either see the data encrypted or not see it at all.

I've considered following methods
1.  RLS -  only applicable on row level

2.  Separate workspaces - this is a solution, problem is that the data will be duplicated (one ws with sensitive data and one with original data)

3. BYOK (bring your own key) - as far as i've understand is this only applicable on an application-/workspace level? In other words, similar (but safer) approach to nr.2

Does anyone have an idea how this can be solved?  Don't hesitate to come with idéas! 🙂
