My HR team is looking for a monthly turnover percentage using this formula:
Terminated employees/Average head count for the month = turnover percentage for month
I figured out how to get the average head count for the month but for some reason my brain stopped when trying to get the count of terminated employees per month.
I have the average headcount as a measure.
My data has these relevant columns:
Name
Employee #
Hire date
Termination Date
Hi @Anonymous ,
How about the result after you follow the suggestions mentioned in my original post?Could you please provide more details about it If it doesn't meet your requirement?
Best regards,
Hi,
There should be 2 relationships from the Data Table to the Calendar Table
Active - From Hire Date column of the Data Table to the Date column of the Calendar Table
Inactive - From Termination Date column of the Data Table to the Date column of the Calendar Table
From the Calendar Table, drag Year and Month to a slicer visual and select any one Year and Month
Write this measure to calculate terminated employees
Measure = CALCULATE(COUNTROWS(Data),USERELATIONSHIP(Data[Termination Date],Calendar[Date]))
Hope this helps.
Hi @Anonymous ,
We can try to create the measure to get the Terminated employee:
Terminated employee =
CALCULATE (
DISTINCTCOUNT ( 'Table'[Employee #] ),
FILTER (
ALLSELECTED ( 'Table' ),
[Termination Date] IN FILTERS ( DateTable[Date] )
)
)
If it doesn't meet your requirement, kindly share your sample data and expected result to me if you don't have any Confidential Information. Please upload your files to One Drive and share the link here.
Best regards,

If this helps, mark it as a solution.

@Anonymous

Did @v-lid-msft answer helped? If not could you share the sample input and expected visual to better answer your question?
