Embed URL not updating

When I publish my report, then open the .pbix in Power BI, the embed code does not update with the new data. It shows the data from the first publish.

What is the process for having changes update into the url?
I want to be able to park a browser on the embed/url, and refresh every hour and for it to show the changes made...

However, at the moment, the embed won't update using my current method.

Any tips?

@ckodadek

If you want your changes to be reflected without needing to publish from Power BI Desktop again, then all your subsequent changes after your initial publish should be done on the Power BI Service (i.e. on the Web).

The only way to have your changes from Power BI Desktop reflected on the Power BI Service and by extension your embed link is through re-publishing from Power BI Desktop.

@wonga I am republishing from Desktop.
However, when I republish, the actual change is not reflected on the embed/URL.

@ckodadek "It can take up to an hour before changes are reflected..."

Read here (at the bottom of the page) the very last entry - How it works

@Sean This seems like one of the major limitations of PowerBI

@ckodadek I can kind of see why the do this...

Have you seen this Idea

https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi-ideas/suggestions/11714058-private-publish-to-web

Now this would be nice! And it says "Under Review" - I hope they decide to implement it!

@Sean thanks for the link. I read about that. Ya, honestly, the private/refresh rate are so important. Once per hour is "okay" for certain dashboards, but inadequate for others.

Hopefully, this will be improved soon.
