Embed PowerBI: Dynamically pass AAD token to Web data source authorization header as variable

I am using web API with AAD token authentication as data source. AAD token will be varied for different customers so I need to pass this AAD token value to Web API  based on logged in customer to fliter user specific data to return. Is there a way to set authorization header value as variable so that I can intialize variable while creating embed url for customer.

Hi @Anonymous,

As we can see from your post, you are going to update the dataset each time customers access the report. I'm afraid this isn't the solution for your scenario. Because as its name depicts, Power BI embedded just embed the whole contents in customer application, which isn't an independent copy. In other words, all the end users of Power BI embedded will see the same contents at the same time if no RLS is applied.

I think the solution could be embedded-row-level-security

Embed_Power_BI_Dynamically
