Hi All,
I downloaded an ODC file to analyze some Azure entperise data in excel.
As you cannot use the COST field as a value parameter, i am trying to now edit this dataset.
So i opened powerbi desktop and tried to create a new dataset of type "Azure Enterprise (Beta)"
As the Azure enterprise rest api endpoint i put "https://analysis.windows.net/powerbi/api"
Then it asks me for the key.. I tried using string i received in the excel connection string, the one after the API endpoint above, it looks like "1234abcb-14ab-az5f-1234-1234567fe083 Model"
That doesnt work, i get "the remote name could not be resolved: 'analysis.windows.net'" in the navigator window.
Can anyone care to exaplin how to get this thing going? Is it the key that i input wrong??
Hi @pixelicous,
Could you please mark the proper answer if it's convenient for you? That will be a help to others.
Best Regards!
Dale
Mmmmm... not really, as I still cannot achieve what i asked for, i really appreciate the will to help but i feel like i was thrown some bone towards my way without really explaining where or how i went wrong..
Anyways i will try to figure out how to solve it myself once i have the time.
Thx
Hi @pixelicous,
Sorry for the inconvenience. I was trying to help. Though something is still beyond my reach. According to the error message and the documents, I think the API endpoint is wrong. Maybe something like this: https://ea.azure.com/rest/12345.
Best Regards!
Dale
Hi Dale,
Thank again for the help.. im on a vacation.. once i get back ill try to take another look at this matter
Thanks again.
Hi,
There are some official documents you should reference. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/billing/billing-enterprise-api and https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/
The REST API endpoint may look like this URL: https://consumption.azure.com/v1/enrollments/{enrollmentNumber}/marketplacecharges
We should generate an API key. Please have a try.
Best Regards!
Dale
@v-jiascu-msft thank you for the details, i will try to take a look.. i already managed to understand the api is not what i think it should be..
hopefully this wil lsolve my issues
