Edit Interactions/Sync Slicers

I have a project report which has

- a page with a slicer for Active projects and then several pages of data relating to the selected active project.

- a page with a slicer for Closed projects and a couple of pages, summarising details for the selected closed project.

there is one further page which has two tables, summarising non-effort costs (kit/3rd party) for Active or Closed projects.

I would like the Active &/or Closed slicers to only affect their appropriate non-effort table.

However, what seems to be happening it that when I select a project on whichever slicer, it affects both non-effort tables, blanking one completely and showing the selected entry on the other. Is there a way around this,

I thought Interactions, but when selected on the slicer the interactions icons did not display on the non-effort page/tables

Any help would be much appreciated

Regards

Fred

Hi @MitieFred ,

Try this:

1. Sync and keep visible both two slicers to Page 3.

2. Edit Interactions.

3. Cancel visible selections.

BTW, .pbix file attached.

@MitieFred , Not sure I got it. If you copy slicer from one page it gives sync slicer option, Or you can use Sync slicers

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-slicers

Refer : https://www.sqlbi.com/articles/syncing-slicers-in-power-bi/

Hi @amitchandak

I think I didn't explain it quite right

In a single pbix, I have a slicer on the first page for Active projects (which have various detail across 6 pages) and a slicer on a separate page for Closed projects, details on 2 pages

The slicers work as expected on the pages they are set up to control

The problem is that there is one page, for kit, with two table Visuals, one for Active and one for Closed projects, that I need to have controlled by the appropriate slicer.
I have selected each of the slicers and set them active for this kit page but they appear to only work at the page level, not at a Visual level.

Is there a way to point the Active slicer only at the Active kit visual and point the Closed slicer only at the Closed kit visual ?
