Hi there,
I've recently come across a problem I don't know how to tackle. I've been using this (http://www.daxpatterns.com/static-segmentation/) to create a histogram classifying dummy data according to a calculation (for instance, unit price * units) that fall in some kind of bucket.
The problem is, I've now come across the need to do it using measures, and I can't display the count of the Measure (which would just return the text value of the name of the appropiate category.
I'm aware of the differences between calculated columns and measures, but still, is there a way to make this work somehow?
Thanks!
Hi @evillarreal,
A measure is always changing in response to the report. (evaluation context). So counting of a measure is meaningless. Maybe there is a workaround, just maybe. Create a new table to bring all the possible values of a measure together, then we can count them any way.
Best Regards!
Dale
