Dynamic date table for filtering whole report

Hi,

I have a report with 4 different tables.  I want to be able to filter the whole report off of one date slicer because each table has a different date field that I'm using for said chart, card, etc.  I couldn't get it to work so I restarted my report with the dynamic date table called "Dates" and a table called "Leads Entered"

Here is example data:

Leads Entered:

Dates:

My goal is to use the Date column in the Dates table to filter the whole report, but I can't get this to work.

This is the relationship that I setup (a many to one)

Then when I go to my report to create the date slicer / card, no data populates:

All of my data in this table is in August of 2019.

Thanks! Not sure what I'm doing wrong.  If this doesn't make sense, I'd be more then happy to provide more screenshots / info.

@Anonymous  - Please make sure that Created Date is Date datatype. Then it should work.

I hope this helps. If it does, please Mark as a solution.
I also appreciate Kudos.

@Anonymous -

It does look like it should work. A couple troubleshooting ideas:

1. Does the card work if the slicer is not there?

2. What does the data look like if you add columns from both tables into a table visual?

Hope this helps,

Nathan

HI,

1) Yes the card works if the slicer is not there.  It also works if i put the date range to Jan-01-2019:

OR

8.png

2) nothing populates:

So I had the created date as a Date / Time.  I changed it to just date, and it now works.  How come it didn't work with a Date / Time.  Would my dates table have to include a time?
