Hi Power Bi Community - had a lot of luck here so here's hopefully another quick one.
I'm querying NASA's rover database, that public URL is (https://api.nasa.gov/mars-photos/api/v1/rovers/curiosity/photos?earth_date=2018-10-23&api_key="KEY")
I then pass my personal API Key wher I have "KEY"
I'm pulling the data for the 2018-10-23 data - but I want to be able to pull any date for the year. How can I quickly set up a query changing only the bold "2018-10-23" to each date for the year and then run a new Query with the applied steps.
Is this possible? Currently I've used the advanced URL and set up a paramentor and can change the data that way - but I'm really wanting to have many dates available at once and then I'll build out filters to select each data in the report itself.
I'm basically hoping to pull 365 tables (or at least be able to select which table I'm pulling) will the URL above and only change the date. Is this possible or are there any work arounds without manually setting up a table 365 times?
Thank you!
Hi @Anonymous

->To pull 365 tables, you need create a parameter and select the date when get data, i'm afraid it is impossible to get data one time and get 365 tables which only change the date.
If you pull 365 tables which only change the date into power bi, the dataset is very large, thus the performance may be bad.

->Per your requirement, you could pull data for all dates in that year, then use the slicers or filters(add date column in) on each report to select report.
for example, you have three reports, every report contains many visuals, report1,2,3 need to show date "2018/1/1", "2018/7/1", "2018/9/3" respectively, you could ass a default slicer on each report page or add the date column to the "Report level filter".
Best Regards
Maggie
