Dynamic Table based on Slicers

Hi,

Having One data table of Dates from 1 to 31.
(1-1-2019, 2-1-2019, 3-1-2019 .... 31-1-2019)

If the slicer values are 10-1-2019 to 20-1-2019, then Table 1's values are from 10-1 to 20-1 - This is Ok.

I need, Table 2 is from 1-1-2019 to 9-1-2019. ie. Less than 10-1-2019.

Thanks
Victor

Hi @vsanthosaraj ,

Based on my research, I am afraid you could not create a dynamic table by slicers, not like measures, calculate columns/tables are computed during database processing(e.g. data refresh) and then stored in the model, they do not response to user selections on the report.

So it is not possible to create a calculate column/table can change dynamically with user selections on the report.

Hi @v-danhe-msft ,

thanks for the sharing ....

Can we create a table using FILTER () ?

NewTable = FILTER(Table, Table[Date] < MIN ( Slice Date  ) )  ....

Victor

Hi @vsanthosaraj ,

You could use this formula but it will just create a static table and will not affected by any silcers.

Hi @v-danhe-msft ,

Just tried with the following:

NewTable = FILTER(Table, Table[Date] < MIN ( Table[Date]  ) )

Data is Changing (Filtering) ...

But the  MIN ( Table[Date])  should replaced by the first value of the slicer.

How to get the First value of the slicer.

Victor
