Hello,
is there a way to make my calculated group change the string format based on the measure I give it (I give quite a few)
some are numbers with a format of "#,0"
some are precentages that need %
some are currecny that need $
like this :
i really dont want to creat 1,000 measure for the time intelegance so i thought a calculated group will solve it but now i face another wall
thanks guys
Hey @Anonymous ,
that's possible, you can adapt the format with DAX.
Check the following article:
Dynamic format strings with calculation groups - SQLBI
i'm so close!
i did
i can see it recognizes when it needs to be $,#,%
but im not quite there.
any sugjections?

ok, I read the article AND saw the video and read this one as well
Controlling Format Strings in Calculation Groups - SQLBI
but...
in the words of Michael Scott "explain it to me as if I were a five year old"
I just don't understand
I have 3 types. $, %, and #,0
how will it know when to use what?
do i need to make another table and specify that each mesure should be a different type?
