Dynamic Slicer Value based on the Role assigned to a user

Hi All,

Can anyone please let me know whether it is possible to set the default value of a slicer based on the Roles created in Power BI report.

For Example, We have a year slicer in a report. The default value of that slicer should be varied according to the role of that particular user accessing the report.

Roles                    Default Year Value

Role 1                   2016

Role 2                   2017

Role 3                   2018

Role 4                   2016.

Please let me know whether it is possible or not.

Hello,

I suppose you want row level security? you can refer to: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-admin-rls#targetText=Row%2Dlevel%20security%20(RLS...

Best Regard!

Thank you for your reply.

I am aware of how to create a role in Power Bi Desktop. My issue is that based on those roles the default value in the slicers present in the report should vary according to table mention in my question.
