Dynamic Six months data

Hi All,

How to get the last 6 months sales based on current selection .

suppose if i select 9-sep-2017 , i want to show apr2017,may2017,jun2017,jul2017,aug2017 and sept2017.

if i select Apr2017 data, i want to display six months back data dynamically(Nov2016,dec2016,jan2017,feb2017,mar2017,ap2017).

How to achive this?

Hello,

You can achieve this by relative date filtering.
The way you do this, is you drag your main data for dates to your visual level filter.
If the data allows it, you can then select Relative Date Filtering.
Here you can choose last 6 months / days / years , whatever you want.
Do be careful with filtering back a lot of months, since you will need to have a month + year column.
If you don't have this PowerBI will get confused since you will try to show several ''December''
