Hello,
I want to create dynamic images in Power BI Desktop based on the selection.
For example, if you select London, you get a map of London, if you select Paris, you get a map of Paris etc...
I found a way to do that by putting the URL of the image in a column and then updating the data category into URL image.
However, with this method, I cannot have a big picture and to look at a map in this small picture is a bit difficult.
I cannot widen the picture with the options (I've tried it already).
Do you know have any solutions to get a bigger picture ? Or another method that can lead to the result wanted ?
Thank you in advance,
Rob

Hi @Rob,
Agree with @Vvelarde, if you want to display images in a big size, you can use Image Viewer custom visual to display it. But please note, if there are many image URL, the Image Viewer can only display one image per time. You can select different values from slicers to display different images.

I downloaded the PBIX file (thanks @v-qiuyu-msft) and the custom visual looks great. I have been unable to locate it in the app store unfortunately. Any clues. Is there a way to extract it from the PBIX file so I can use it in another PBIX file. (I know that I could always use this PBIX file as the starting point, but what if I already have done a heap of work and want to add it)
Image viewer available in this thread. Download as a zip and rename the zip to pbiviz. Works great!
Hi,
I renamed the zip file but PowerBi says it isn't a valid custom visual.
Do you know how to solve it?
thanks a lot,
You can download it from here. http://blog.pragmaticworks.com/power-bi-custom-visuals-image-viewer
