Drillthrough using Web data source

Hi,

I'd like to configure simple drillthrough report with 2 pages (Orders, Order Details) taking data from existing APIs:

  1. /api/Orders -> returns a list of orders, including OrderId column
  2. /api/OrderDetails/{OrderId} -> returns all items for a specific order (OrderId)

I'm struggling to configure PowerBi drill through were after selecting a specific Order (OrderId) I'd be able to drill through second page, using the OrderDetails API and passing the filtered OrderId into the web request as query parameter. This is possible using DirectQuery when connected to a database

Is this possible with Web data source?

I've found that I can setup parameters, but I can't see how can I set the value of the parameter using drill through

Regards,

Stefan

Hi @Anonymous ,

Based on your description, you want to dynamically change API parameters to get data and drillthrough the field. Is it?

Unfortunately, there is no solution that fully meets your needs.

Try to call Web.Contents or other functions for each URL.

Best Regards,
Liang
