Drill down functionality enables visual level filters

Hi,

I have a report that has a drillthrough functionality to a drillthrough page as standard. However this drillthrough page also has drill down functionality, so the user can expand a table and show more values underneath.

However, when the user drills down a level in this page, the Visual level filter applies for that level.

This means that when the user goes back to the original page then tries to drillthrough on a different value, nothing will show because the drillthrough page has that visual level filter applied.

I could add a bookmark to reset the drillthrough page but shouldn't there be some functionlity in the back button that resets the page so it is ready to be drilled through to again?

Lots of use of "drill" in the above but hope it makes sense!

Thanks,

Rob

Hi @robstewart89,

I was not able to reproduce the same scenario on my side. In my test, drill down action didn't apply visual level filters. If possible, could you please share a sample .pbix file?

Regards,

Yuliana Gu

Hi @v-yulgu-msft

The Pbix file is: Power BI - Drilldown Errors

I've also attached a .gif below of what I'm seeing (hopefully it works!)

Thanks,

Robert

Does this make sense? Is there a way to fix this or should I raise it as an issue?
