Download the report into Power BI Desktop

Hi

I am new to Power BI and getting myself familar with. I was trying to download a report published to Power BI service and could not find a direct way to download within Power BI Desktop. It appears i need to download directly from the Power BI service and then edit it through desktop. I was not sure if downloading directly into the desktop option is available  ?

Hi @nmsivasankar,

The download option is only available from the web version.

From the desktop version you can do the upload only.

There is no direct way to download a report from web services to power bi desktop. You need to download it through web services and then you can open it in power bi desktop.
