Double Slicer for Multiple Date Fields

Hi All,

I have a page which requres me to change two date fields to the same date value.

These date fields are in different purposes and impact different visuals on the page.

Is there a single slicer that allows multiple date fields to be impacted based on the date set in the slicer?

Hi @PowerQA1,

This can be done with a calendar table and with measures.

Can you share a sample data so I can give you the measures that align with your needs.

Thanks for your help!

There are two tables

One table has typical Defect data

One table has typical Execution data

Defect Data Table Sample

Defect IDApplicationProvderProjectReleasePriorityStatusSystemSummaryDetected On
726App 1Comp 1Changes OutputFebruary3-HighClosedOutput Bad Output1/31/2019
888App 2Comp 2Input ChangesMay - 195-UrgentClosedInputBad Input3/12/19

Exectution Data Table Sample

Application Test IDExec DateTest: Execution StatusNameProject ReleaseStatusSubject
App18565311/23/2019PassedTest 1Project 1JanPassedSubject 1
App28556251/10/2019PassedTest 2Project 218L-December+PassedSubject 2
App38546181/18/2019PassedTest 3Project 319B-FebruaryPassedSubject 3

One stacked column chart displays the number of defects written monthly

  • Axis - Detected On Date (Date defect was found)
  • Value - Count of Detected on Date (Count of Defects)

Second stacked column chart displays the number of test cases executed monthly

  • Axis - Executed Date (Date cases were executed)
  • Value - Test Case Count (Count of executed test cases)

I am trying to use one slicer to control both charts.

As the relationship I had setup do not work between these tables as there is no real common thread

If I have 2 slicers one set for Detected on and the other set to use Exec date it works fine but looks really dumb obviously

Thanks for your help....
