Does Power BI have display folders to store and organize measures?

I have been using power bi for 5 months now and have always wondered why they haven't added this yet.  However, I very old videos I am seeing display folders being used.  Even when I google this, I can't find the answer.  Am I really that big of an idiot and can somebody help me enable this?

Any idea how to not lose your folders when your data is refreshed?
I just spent hours putting >50 fields into folders and adding descriptions only to lose it all when I refreshed my data. My table is connected to an SQL database and refreshes every day.

That is a bug. It should not do that. Make sure you are on a recent build (Feb or Mar 2021) and retry, or the Jan Report Server version if that is what you are using. It it continues to happen, submit a bug report.

Hi buddy,

There's a way to create this "folder" you want.

First go to "edit queries" menu, create a "blank query" and rename as "Measures", go to close and aply.

Now you have your "folder" and can create your measures in it.

I already do that, but that is essentially just creating a blank table and adding formulas/calculations to it.  I was moreso referring to literal folder icons within a table to organize field and measures.  There are videos on youtube of exactly what I am referring to so I am not sure if they removed this or what happened.

If you are talking sub-folders for organizing within a table like this:

That is on the new Model tab.

There has never been a way to create a "folder" for just measures that I am aware of short of the hack I mentioned, at least through the April 2019 Power BI desktop. I hope that comes in the future though.

OMG.... That is exactly what I meant lol.  I currently have a table called _formulas, but this is what I was looking for.  You have got to be kidding me

Cool! Yeah, this is a relatively new thing. Jan 2019 maybe? It was in beta for months so you might have seen videos going back to mid-late 2018 with them. It is handy for larger models.

In Power Query, create a blank query with one column that = 0. Save and load the table with the one value.

Now move your measures to that "table." 

There is no native way to have a pure measures table, but this hack is what most people seem to do. Don't relate this table to anything.
