Does Power BI have an option to split slicer in multiple columns

When i drag a table in slicer mode to power bi page, all of the data appears in one single line

Like excel , instead of data appearing in one single line, can we have an option to choose columns for slicer

For example if my data set is made of 1,2,3,4,5,6 ... Can i have my slicer appear in two columns

1  4

2  5

3   6

Thank you for your help 🙂

There is a custom visual called the chicklet slicer that will do this.

I cover custom visuals and this slicer here http://exceleratorbi.com.au/power-bi-visuals-gallery-is-a-game-changer/

You can download it here

hi, how do you add images to the slicer options?

Hey kinsel5d, welcome!

Before I'm trying to answer your question please be aware, that it's always a good idea to start a new question with a separate header especially if the original quesion is already answered.

Basically it's simple to add images to slicer "buttons" of the chiclet slicer, you just have to drag the column that contains a link to the image file to the image section of the visual.

The requirements:

  • Categorize the column in the model pane as "Image Url"

  • store your images in a location that is accessible by the Power BI service

I like to use an Azure blobstore for this and other tasks but as I mentioned, each webaddress will suffice 2017-07-04_22-10-00.png

Each file has its own webaddress e.g. .../14276.jpg

Hope this helps
