Does Power BI have a default date

On a Power BI dashboard, I dont have any date slicer selected at any level(visual, page level, report level). 

I have a date table. 

I have a YTD measure using TOTALYTD(sum(Sales[Revenue ]),'DateTable'[Date]) for a list of targeted accounts. and it seems to give me a reasonable value. I am just curious if power BI defaults today as the date to go into " 'DateTable'[Date]" , if no date is selected or filtered anywhere.

Hello,

TOTALYTD cumulates Revenues till the last day selected. If no date is filtered sliced or anything it cumulates till the last date of date table.
