Hi there,
I'm looking for some documentation using '*' and '?' in the Visual, Page and Report filters area in Power BI Desktop. I stumbled across the use of them whilst exploring Power BI and I just need to read and understand their properties.
Many thanks,
Simon

You can keep an eye on following document. Power BI will list the new added functions in each release there. If wildcard characters are officially supported, it should be mentioned there.

AFAIK, there is no official document about using ‘*’ and ‘?’ in the filters area. You can use the “contains” in Advanced filtering instead.

Hi Herbert,
I have been using "contains" in Advanced Filtering. And within that I can use '*' for one or many characters or '?' for one and one only character. For example, if I was searching for my name in a record I could search 'S*n' or 'S???n' using contains.
I stumbled upon these characters by a lucky guess, so I wondered at which update this began so I can clarify their use.
Many thanks for your help so far!
Simon
