@amitchandak Thanks for sharing that link but I'm not sure the purpose of that link respective to the question posted by @johnmelbourne  I didn't see any calculation groups information there or I missed it?

Glad and happy to know that we can use calculation groups can be used in datasets residing in shared capacity.!

Do we need to mandatorily use the preview feature of "Store the dataset using enhanced metadata format" for working with calculation groups?

Can we use calculation groups in live datasets and Mixed storage datasets.

I see error as : "Query (1, 1) Function 'PLACEHOLDER' is not allowed as part of calculated column DAX expressions on DirectQuery models."

- My dataset is Mixed (Dual) storage.
