To avoid necroing an old thread that went unanswered:
When I hide a visual using the Selection Pane, does it still render the visual and it's just invisible, or is it essentially "unloaded?
I tend to build out reports and hide complex unneeded elements (rather than removing them, in case they're needed later so I don't need to recreate them), but I'd like to avoid a performance impact. Now that this feature has been out for a while, does anyone have a verified answer?
Hi @RMDNA
I do not have a verified answer but I have my experience by hiding them.
I have a complex report with 10-15 filter and lot of visuals.
I have a lot of visuals hided In case If I need to switch back to and old visual, I never delete them.
Even with a ton of Visuals hided in the report, It has never impacted the performance and the report is still fast to load without problems
