What would be the correct DAX syntax to use based on this example?
There is a slicer in PBI for Selected Period which is filtered to Apr-2019. For the Selected Period in the table below, I need to display this value (as static) for each Reporting Month. The interaction between the slicer and the table is set to none.
Reporting Month | Selected Period |
Jan-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Feb-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Mar-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Apr-2019 | Apr-2019 |
May-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Jun-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Jul-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Aug-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Sep-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Oct-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Nov-2019 | Apr-2019 |
Dec-2019 | Apr-2019 |
My current logic just repeats the respective Reporting Period.
Selected Period =
VAR selectedPeriod = IF ( HASONEVALUE ( 'Reporting Period'[Reporting Month ] ), SELECTEDVALUE ( 'Reporting Period'[Reporting Month] ), 0 ) RETURN selectedPeriod
@rsaphier your report period and selected month are from same table or seperate tables?
