Display lifetime total for customer on each of the customer's donation rows in grid

Would prefer a solution that uses a measure because then I could add a filter and change the total depending on the category of donations the customer had.

Re: Display lifetime total for customer on each of the customer's donation rows in grid

All the attempts I made to use this and other scripts failed due to running out of memory etc since I have millions of constituents.  Seems like the best solution is to create a table with this data and relate it the constituent or donation (if I need to show it on the donation line).

Re: Display lifetime total for customer on each of the customer's donation rows in grid

Assuming that you have an existing measure called 'Donations' and a date table called 'Date' that has a relationship to the table containing the donation amount you could use a patter like the following:

LTD Donations =
CALCULATE(
[Donations] , FILTER( ALL( 'Date'[Date] ) , 'Date'[Date] <= MAX('Date'[Date]) ) )
