Display Data Labels in Thousands(K) only when value > 999 on a bar chart

Hi!

I am building a bar chart with X axis as the Years and Y axis as the could of Items . I am displaying the total count of Items by years on the bar chart , on the data labels I would like to show the values in the format of thousands (K) while if the count is leass than 1000 I would like to display it as the whole number ( For example 765). On the data Lable formatting I am able to only select , either None, Thousands, Million etc.... I cant create a combination based on the data label settings.

Is there a way this is acheivable?

Hi @Miska ,

Agree with Raymundo2910 .

Unfortunately, It is by design. There is no option to controll it now. You can submit an idea for it in Power BI Idea Forums .

Hope it helps,

You can't to that from the Data labels selection menu unfortunately. The only way you could somehow (and I have my doubts) achieve a workaround is by placing a tooltip which is a measure that formats and concatenates conditionally the values.

But hey, if someone knows how to customize data labels that would be awesome!
