Display Blank Description When Nothing is Selected

Hi,

I have a scatter plot of a TableA, that plots ValueX and ValueY. TableA also has a Description text column.

Is there a way to show the description of a record in TableA only when it is selected from the scatter plot? Right now I just have the description text box set to First, which means, by default when nothing is selected, it shows the description of the first record. I want it to be blank until a value is actually selected on the scatter plot.

Is there a way to do this?

Thanks Greg, that worked. I replaced Blank() with "" so the box is completely empty when nothing is selected.

You don't have to do this, but I would love if you could give me a brief explanation of what that expression is saying. I am still trying to improve on my DAX.

@Anonymous Sure thing. Basically HASONEVALUE checks the specified column and determines if there is a single value for that column or multiple values. When nothing is selected, all rows are in context and thus HASONEVALUE evalulates to FALSE (more than one value). But, when you choose a single point, HASONEVALUE evaluates to TRUE (single value). Note that HASONEVALUE is kind of sugar sytax for COUNTROWS('Table')=1
