Disconnected Slicer & Date values

I'd like to create a disconnected slicer that lets choose from date values.

The value given back by the SELECTEDVALUE function always is "#,0.00", and never a date:

With numbers, the slicer works. What am i doing wrong?

@Sokon,

The above issue is caused by that you set text type value as default value. Please change your DAX as follows.

selectedValue = SELECTEDVALUE('Dates'[Date3],BLANK())
