Hello,
We set up several data flows in PBI service which connect to our SQL Server database. Those work properly.
When we connect from PBI desktop or service directly to these via Direct Query they work.
But, we need to combine several of these data flows into a dataset and then point reports to this dataset. That does not work.
How do you create a data model (dataset) of multiple data flows via direct query - and be able to reference that dataset?
We have installed the latest June 2022 gateway. And I have the latest June 2022 Desktop version.
The error message on Desktop is:
{"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_FeatureNotSupported","pbi.error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_FeatureNotSupported","parameters":{},"details":[],"exceptionCulprit":1}}}
The error message in Service is:
The feature is not supported. Please make sure you have installed the latest version of the gateway.
Thanks,
Dan
@dancarr22 , Hope you have premium workspace and the setting "Enhance Compute Engine Setting" is on under dataflow property
Once you add and publish , make sure you go to data source setting anf update credentials, if needed
Thanks @amitchandak - I have set enhanced compute on for the dataflows and have a PPU workspace. The dataflows work when accessed individualy but when I reference via a dataset - which is needed because there are relationships amongst the different dataflow tables - it does not work.
Thanks,
Dan
