Hi All,
My Powerbi report looks like below currently. But what i wish to see in the matrix are the dates starting from jan 19 not january 18. AND the related line chart to show dates from january 18--is this all possible? FYI the line chart is cross filtered when you select the line items in the matrix chart.

Hi @Anonymous
Based on my test, you may use visual level filter only for Matrix visual. Then you may get the matrix as requested.Attached sample file for your reference.

Thanks for the reply! but how did you manage to get "is on or after" in the advanced filtering. I dont have it. Is it because my month-year has to be formatted to date?
Hi @Anonymous
Yes,if you have date column. You may also drag the date column to visual level filter and use 'is on or after'.
Regards,
Yes, you should be able to use a simple visual filter on your matrix for year>=2019
Hi Greg,
Thanks for the suggestion. I followed what you did and it gets the view that i want. but when i click "profit margin" i want to see the trend line from Jan 2018 onwards. If i do that now, the trend line is filtered by 2019.
