Desktop is locking my access db files!

Hello,

 

I have loaded an access db into a desktop report, this has now caused all access files to be considered as locked by desktop. i have ried deleting the report and this hasnt worked, i have also copied the db wholesale and copy/pasted all the data manually both also dont work. i created a whole new db and again this didnt work. has anyone else encountered this kind of problem? can anyone help?

I have tested it on my local environment, we cannot reproduce this issue. When connecting to Access database in Power BI desktop, I can open this Access database and insert or delete records. And then refresh data in Power BI desktop, the latest data reflect on my visual.

 

So in your scenario, you need to check if this database is locked by other application. Please close your Power BI report, and check if you can access to that database.
