In power BI desktop (latest version Aug 2020), I am using "Power BI datasets" from premium workspace (I am owner). Data loads fine, I can create report, save file as .pbix and also publish it to premium workspace. however when I reopen .pbix file, I always get this error , not just for a specific file). All other .pbix files with other types of dataset (query/shareoint etc) are opening fine.
Also the published report with this data set opens fine from app.powerbi.com . If I download a new copy of .pbix file from premium workspace, it also doesn't open, again only when it contains "Power BI datasets".
So, it is strange that power BI desktop lets me create/save/publish a report using power BI datasets, however I can not reopen the file. Is there any setting that I am missing to reopen this file in power BI desktop ?
Thanks !

Got a quick response from Microsoft Support Ticket. I was using Aug release V2.84.661.0 and representative asked me to install v2.84.981.0 and that fixed the issue. I can now reopen .pbix files !

@AmitBhole - Not sure, You could check the Issues forum here:
https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
And if it is not there, then you could post it.
If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".
@Greg_Deckler , thanks for that information. Yes, I have a pro account, so I will open a ticket. It was my first post in power BI community, so did not know about "Issue Forum". Thanks.
@AmitBhole , check there were few issues reported in past at -https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Issues/idb-p/Issues
Thanks @amitchandak . This issue report is closer to what I am experiencing however my issue is only with power BI datasets. I can reopen .pbix files with other type of datasets. Also, did not see any solution to that issue either.
