I recently stood up a personal gateway which was registered under the computer name: COMPUTER_A. Logging in to powerbi.com, it was there (COMPUTER_A) and everything worked as expected. However, I needed to change the computer name to COMPUTERB - which then caused the auto-refresh to fail. To try and fix the issue, I uninstalled and re-installed the gateway app, but now during installation I'm getting a 403 forbidden when the program is "checking just a few more things".
When I log in to powerbi.com, it still shows the old computer name (COMPUTER_A) and I have a sneaking suspicion that changing the computer name started the issue. Does anyone know how to "unregister" the gateway (or remove the computer from powerbi.com) so I can start again from scratch? Unfortunately I can't change the computer name back or it will break the Oracle connector.
Hi @L_Shinny, we're looking into this, I'll reply here again with information on how to completley remove this Gateway from your computer. It might be not un-installing completely from the previous machine.
