Designing dataflows in Power BI desktop

I find designing dataflows in the web environment not a good experience. For example you can't test things or see whether Query Folding works or not. So I'm designing them in PBI Desktop.

I know of a way to to export and import a JSON in the web environment, but not in PBI desktop. Does anyone know if this is possible? Otherwise I have to manually copy the code from advanced editor to advanced editor.

It would be so convenient if you could just design a query in PBI desktop and publish a query as a dataflow. Is there a feature request for that?

Hi @richard-powerbi ,

There is no need to copy+paste the advance code, even related queries the trick is a simple Copy + Paste from the Desktop version.

Check the two videos below of Guy in the Cube with the tricks.
