Decomposition Tree Questions

Hi all,

I have a couple of questions about the new decomposition tree visual. Since this is still in preview I'm sure these pieces of functionality are not available yet, but thought I'd ask anyway.

  1. I noticed that it always sorts by the data label with no option that I can find to sort by category label. Is this possible yet?
  2. Control+Click doesn't work to select multiple categories...wondering if this is working for wnayone else?
  3. When clicking on each category it doesn't filter other visuals until you click on the last category. In the example below, it does not filter other visuals when I click on the Country or Sale Size items, but once I click on the Category column it does filter other visuals. It's be nice to have it filter as I click through each one.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Please check the document about Decomposition Tree below, I believe it has a relatively complete introduction to the functionality of Decomposition Tree.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/visuals/power-bi-visualization-decomposition-tree.

About the features you mentioned that haven't been implemented, I'd like to suggest you to submit your idea to Microsoft. I think they're all good ideas and I'm sure they'll make Decomposition Tree better.

Best Regards,

Jay
